Binh Phuoc (VNA) – The southern province of Binh Phuoc has attracted11 investment projects totalling 100 million USD in the first quarter of 2018,approximately equal to this year’s target.

Thefigures represented year-on-year rises of 175 percent in the number of projectsand 912 percent in capital.

Secretaryof the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi on April 5 attributed thepositive results to effective investment promotion measures.

Theprovince plans to organise a large-scale investment promotion programme in Mayto attract more domestic and foreign investors.

Sincethe beginning of this year, there were 221 newly-established enterprises with aregistered capital of 3.5 trillion VND (153.3 million USD).

Althoughit saw a breakthrough in investment attraction, the province was ranked 62nd out of the 63 localities in terms of provincial competition index.

Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulaဣtions

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
