Binh Duong’s first net-zero industrial cluster to be built

Hanoi (VNA)🤡 – Gia Dinh Group and SEP Cooperative ofthe Republic of Korea (RoK) on April 13 signed a memorandum of understanding onbuilding a net-zero industrial complex in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Within the framework of the signing ceremony, a representativeof the SEP group introduced carbonneutralisation technology that will be applied at Tam Lap 2 industrial clusterin Phu Giao district. Accordingly, solar energy will be used, waste and wastewater treatment systems built and industrial waste recycled in the cluster. Construction of the 180-ha project is expected to begin at theend of this year with an investment capital of about 200 million USD. Tam Lap 2 will be developed based on the carbon-neutral modelpiloted at Banwol-Sihwa Industrial Complex in the RoK. Once completed, it will welcome about 20 member companies of SEPto invest here. Binh Duong province is calling for foreign investment inenvironment-friendly projects. In February this year, BecamexIDC Corporation and Singapore-based Sembcorp Development Ltd signed anagreement under which both sides will develop five green- and smart-orientedindustrial parks in Vietnam in the next three years, some of which will be located in Binh Duong. Currently, the third Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIPIII) in Binh Duong is being built in line with the criteria of a green industrial park. Denmark-based LEGO group has decided to build its firstcarbon-neutral factory in VSIP III with an investment capital of 1.3 billionUSD. The plant is expected to becomeoperational by 2024, creating 4,000 jobs for local people within the next 15years./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
