Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, amongothers, also attended the banquet.
Speaking at theevent, Trong said the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos is animportant factor to ensure the success of each country’s revolutionary causeand an invaluable asset of the two Parties and nations that needs to be passedon to later generations.
The Party, Stateand people of Vietnam pledge to work with their Lao counterparts to nurture thetraditional friendship for the sake of prosperity, the well-being of the twonations and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region andthe world as well, he said.
Vorachith, for hispart, expressed his sincere thanks to the Party, State and people of Vietnamfor providing support for Laos, not only in the national liberation cause inthe past but also for the country’s development at present.
He affirmed thatthe Party, State and people of Laos will do their utmost to maintain traditionalsolidarity with Vietnam and to educate the two countries’ young generationsabout their relations.
