The Bangladeshi Embassy in Vietnam has sent a diplomatic note to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam announcing the invitation to both domestic and foreign tenders for its country’s rice import.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Bangladeshi Embassyin Vietnam has sent a diplomatic note to the Ministry of Industry and Trade ofVietnam announcing the invitation to both domestic and foreign tenders for itscountry’s rice import.

Accordingly, the Directorate of Food underBangladesh’s Ministry of Food has invited tenders for the import of 50,000tonnes of non-basmati parboiled rice.

This creates an excellent opportunity forVietnamese businesses to boost rice export to the market.

The announcement stated that the imported ricewill be shipped to Chittagong and Mongla ports within 40 days since the days ofsigning deals.

Rice could be imported from any countries,except for Israel, and harvested from 2016 to present.

The deadline for selling tender documents is5:00 pm on August 7, 2017 (Bangladesh’s time) and that for submitting tenderdossiers is 1:00 pm on August 8, 2017 (Bangladesh’s time). The auction will beopen at 2:30 pm the same day.-VNA
