Bac Giang (VNA) – The People’s Committee ofnorthern Bac Giang province and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) held a conferenceon January 12 to review the implementation of their communications cooperationagreement in 2017 and map out plans for 2018.
Under the terms of the agreement, the VNA has popularisedthe images of Bac Giang province and introduced its achievements,socio-economic development potential and policies to readers and viewers bothat home and abroad through online and print publications and televisionchannel.
More than 900 news stories, articles and photos about BacGiang were published in the VNA’s source information websites and about 80reportages were aired on its television channel.
The cooperation in communications has contributed to theprovince’s social and economic successes last year. Highlights among BacGiang’s achievements are record GRDP growth of 13.3 percent and the 8th position out of 63 provinces and cities in terms of foreign investmentattraction.
Speaking at the conference, VNA General Director NguyenDuc Loi congratulated Bac Giang on its achievements and affirmed the agency’scontinued support for the province’s popularization of laws and policies andpromotion of local advantages and potential both at home and overseas.
