Bac Giang province accelerates administrative reforms

The northern province of Bac Giang will step up administrative reforms to provide both citizens and businesses with better public services, according to Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Linh.

Bac Giang (VNA) – The northern province of Bac Giang will step upadministrative reforms to provide both citizens and businesses with betterpublic services, according to Chairman of the provincial People’s CommitteeNguyen Van Linh.

The locality will focus on launching one-door and connected one-door mechanismsin processing administrative procedures at all levels.

Increasing the use of the information technology is part of the efforts tostreamline administrative procedures and shorten the time to handle procedures,Linh said, adding that the province will continue to improve the Public Administrative Reform (PAR) Index, ProvincialGovernance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services (SIPAS) and Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI).

The province will also look to improve the capacity of local officials andpublic staffers.

Last year, the local one-door mechanism helped shorten processing time in planningand investment, labour, invalids and social affairs, transportation andconstruction by up to 30 percent.

The provincial public administrative centre received more than 63,100 requests,97.6 percent of which were handled on schedule.

To date, all of the 2,300 public services are online. More than 600 servicesare in the Level-3 category, which allows applicants to submit forms online.Meanwhile, Level 4 has been applied for more than 100 services, helping localresidents and businesses settle payments online.-VNA
