Association brings together Vietnamese youths, intellectuals in US

The 10th edition of a networking event marking its decade, hosted by the Association of Vietnamese Professionals and Students in the US, wrapped up on August 21.

Washington D.C. (VNA) – The 10th edition ofa networking event marking its decade, hosted by the Association of VietnameseProfessionals and Students in the US, wrapped up on August 21.

Themed “10 years and beyond”, the three-day programmefeatured an array of activities, including a startup competition, a vocationalworkshop, football matches and art performances.  

At a recent gala, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen QuocDung congratulated the association on its achievements, especially inconnecting Vietnamese youths and intellectuals in the US together who haveserved as a bridge promoting Vietnam – US comprehensive partnership.

The association was founded on June 1, 2013, andbecame a registered non-profit organisation in Massachusetts state on March 3,2014.

It now groups more than 35,000 members throughout theUS./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
