Hanoi (VNA) – The 14th Assembly of the Asian Organisation of SupremeAudit Institutions (ASOSAI) is taking place in Hanoi, where participants 🏅sharedtheir experience in environmental auditing for sustainable development.

Thailand will be the ASOSAI host and chair in thenext term. The head of the Thailand supreme auditing institution (SAI), Chanathap Indamra, has given comments onVietnam’s hosting of the 14th Assembly of the AsianOrganisation of Supreme Audit Institutions in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency on the sidelines of the secondplenary on September 22 in Hanoi. The followingis the full text of the interview:

Reporter: How do you evaluate Vietnam’s organisation of the 14th Assembly of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI 14)?

Mr. Chanathap Indamra: I must say that Vietnam’shosting of ASOSAI 14 is excellent, thanks to the hardworking of every section,particularly the🌸ཧ staff of Vietnam's supreme auditing institution. They have cooperated very well with eachother to manage this meeting. The hosting is very excellent and we have seengood outcomes.

Reporter: Vietnam and Thailand have a close relationship. How will Vietnam andThailand cooperate in the future in auditing?

Mr. Chanathap Indamra: Thailand SAI, as a member of ASOSAI, will keep a very close cooperation with Vietnam as the ASOSAI chair tostrengthen the organisation’s performance, reputation and efficiency in thecoming time, and make it more trusted among member SAIs as well as make sureits outcomes ꦑto go smoothly. In this term, Vietnam SAI is the ASOSAI President,I am sure that Vietnam will make great contribution to ASOSAI and bring theorganisation into the next level o🅘f development. For the next term, Thailandwill be the host and chair of ASOSAI in 2021, we will keep closer cooperationwith Vietnam.

Reporter: Vietnam and Thailand have implemented the joint environmental audit inMekong river. How will the two countries further their joint environmental auditin the future?

Mr. Chanathap Indamra: I think it is very importantfor making environmental auditing in the future. Environmental audit is theconcern of the Asian Organisationsof Supreme Aꦰudit Institutions, so the cooperation in environmentalauditing in our region is 𒉰crucial, which should be done continuously. We willtake every chance to cooperate with Vietnam in the area.
