Jakarta (VNA) – Under the scorching sun of the hot season inIndonesia, long queues can be seen at stalls selling tickets to seecompetitions in the 2018 Asian Games (2018 ASIAD), which has been underway in Jakarta since August 13.

The stalls are located between Gate 5 and Gate 7 of Gelora Bungkarnostadium in the centre of Jakarta.

Febriano, a Jakarta resident, said he came to the stalls as his friendtold him it was difficult to get tickets online. “I felt lucky to get ticketsso that I can watch the action directly,” he said, adding that tickets forTaekwondo and basketball have run out, so he had to switch to Water Polo.

The Games’ organising board has announced that tickets can now also bebought on Blibli.com, a new addition to this website after fans complainedabout the problems they encounter when ordering tickets on the original ticketselling website kiostics.com.

People can also buy tickets to ASIAD competitions at stores of theAlfamart chain, which are everywhere in residential areas in Indonesia.

Holding two tickets in her hand, Yunning said she had bought tickets towatch badminton because she was a fan of the sport. She added that her child hadsome days off due to the Games, so they will watch some badminton matchestogether on August 23. “You know, there’s only one big sport event like this everyfour years, and it is a rare opportunity for us,” she said.

Tickets for ASIAD competitions are being sold on blibli.com duringAugust 16 and 29. Ticket to a match can only be bought within three days beforethe date the match takes place.

Tickets to the closing ceremony of the Games are now available on blibli.comat a price of 450,000 rupiah (around 31 USD).-VNA
