Hanoi ( VNA) – The photo “Water festival in NongKhai province” by Mongkolchai Panyatrakul from Thailand won the first prize atthe “ASEAN – One Community” press photo contest.

The announcement was made at a ceremony held in Hanoi on December 29.

Photo “Bull racing festival” by Vietnamese photographer Nguyen Huu Dinh was therunner-up.

Three third prizes and five encouragement prizes were also awarded tooutstanding photos.

The “ASEAN-One Community”, held by the Vietnam Journalists Association as thePresident of theConfederation of ASEAN Journalists (CAJ) for 2015-2017, was to mark one yearanniversary of the establishment of the ASEAN Community.

The contest received nearly 700 entries by members of press organisations inASEAN state members, featuring the beauty of countries, people and daily lifein the common community.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
