Since the COVID-19outbreak, there have been many flights to bring Vietnamese citizens home from abroad. However, passenger transport by road through a third country is unprecedented.

Vietnamese ConsulGeneral in Khon Kaen Chu Duc Dung said the arrangement for the transport of Vietnamese nationals in Thailand to Vietnam by road via Laos is a big challenge as it involves immigrationprocedures of three countries.
