Architect Vo Trong Nghia wins British Royal award

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese architect VoTrong Nghia has been awarded with the RIBA International Fellows 2017 at arecent ceremony in London, the UK.

The award, presented annually by the RoyalInstitute of British Architects (RIBA), aims to honour architects who makespecial contribution to the world’s architecture, thus creating sustainableworks.

Vo Trong Nghia, born in 1976 in the centralprovince of Quang Binh, graduated from the Hanoi University of Architecture in1996 and got a master degree from Tokyo University in 2004.

He started his firm Vo Trong Nghia Architects in2006. Most of his projects are green and local product-based designs.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
