– Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Anh Tuan has visited HighSchool 251 named after President Ho Chi Minhin Kiev on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam’sNational Day and the new academic year of 2020-2021.

Speaking at a meeting with administrators and students of the school, theVietnamese diplomat wished teachers and students to soon overcome difficultiescaused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and made greater achievements in the newschool year.

He expressed his hope that the school will focus on embellishingthe gallery displaying artifacts related to President Ho Chi Minh at the school,and continue to contributing to further tightening the Vietnam-Ukraine friendship.

The ambassador also presented certificates ofmerit and gifts to representatives of the school and students who won prizesin the writing contest about President Ho Chi Minh jointly organised by theembassy and the school.

Rector of the school Larysa P. Shulga highlightedthe significance of the contest, saying that it helped the school’s students tounderstand more about the history and beloved leader of Vietnam.

She also expressedher sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine, the Vietnam-UkraineFriendship Association, the Ukraine-Vietnam Friendship Association, andVietnamese people for their support to the school to effectively respond to COVID-19./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
