The diplomat told his guests that the comprehensive partnership between Vietnamand Argentina has reaped new, positive developments across sectors, especiallypolitics, economics, trade and culture, via various channels such as the Party,government, sector ones.
A series of important events held in the past time, like the 20th founding anniversaryof the Argentina-Vietnam Culture Institute and the re-establishment of theArgentina-Vietnam friendship parliamentarians group, provided vivid examples ofthe increasingly expanded relations between the two countries, he said.
He noted that the growing economic, trade and investment cooperation served asa foundation for the two countries’ long-term ties. In 2017, bilateral two-way tradehit more than 3 billion USD, doubling the figure recorded five years ago, andmaking Argentina the second largest trade partner of Vietnam in Latin Americaand Vietnam the second important market of Argentina in Asia and the fourthexport market globally, he told participants.
He expressed his hope that in 2018 when the two countries are celebrating the45th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, many practical activitieswill be launched, helping bolster the friendship and cooperation to match withthe two countries’ comprehensive partnership.
Secretary of Agriculture,Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Agri-industry Guillermo Bernaudo spokehighly of the nation-building cause of Vietnam.
He said Vietnam’s role and prestige has been heightened on the regional andinternational arena.
Bernaudo stated thatArgentina always treasures its relations with Vietnam and wants both sides tocontinue taking stronger and more practical steps in their cooperation in thefuture.-VNA
