All Vietnamese students win medals at 59th Int’l Maths Olympiad

The gold medal was won by Nguyen Quang Bin, a 12th gradestudent of the Hanoi National University’s High School for Gifted Students.
Pham Minh Duc, an 11th grade student from Hanoi-AmsterdamHigh School, and Trinh Van Hoan, a 12th grader of Tran Phu HighSchool for Gifted Students in the northern port city of Hai Phong, bagged silvermedals.
The three bronze medals were secured by Tran Viet Hoang, also from TranPhu High School for Gifted Students of Hai Phong; Truong Manh Tuan from theHanoi National University’s High School for Gifted Students; and Do Hoang Vietfrom Nguyen Quang Dieu High School for Gifted Students in the southern provinceof Dong Thap.
Last year, the Vietnamese team bagged four gold, one silver and onebronze medals at the 58th International Mathematics Olympiad inBrazil, ranking third in the medal table.
The Ministry of Education and Training will hold a welcome ceremony forthe team at Noi Bai International Airport on July 15.-VNA
