Airport security officer face punishments

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has decided to fine and suspend a security officer for slapping a passenger.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has de𓄧cided to fine and suspend a security officer for slapping a🎐 passenger.

A representative from the Middle Airport Authority on May 5 announced that 30-year-old Nguyen Van Thai, a security officer of Cam Ranh International Airport in the central province of Khanh Hoa , hit a Chinese passenger.
Thai will be fined 10 million VND (450 USD) , while Cam Ranh International Airport also decided to suspend the officer. A chaotic scene was captured in the airport’s international terminal on May 2 after a flight was delayed due to an air traffic jam abroad.
A number of Chinese passengers were upset about the delay. A Chinese man even jumped onto seats and screamed, sparking verbally aggressive behaviour by many Chinese passengers. Security force were tasked with maintaining order and security in the area. While dealing with the aggressive Chinese man, Thai lost his temper and hit him. The CAAV has instructed the airport to take specific measures to ensure its service quality, security, safety as well as its image.-VNA
