The event, broadcast live on VTV1 and digital platforms, connected the National Convention Centre with educational establishments nationwide. - The National Assembly (NA)’s Standing Committee convened in Hanoi on September 5 for its 49th session, a nearly six-day working agenda set to lay the groundwork for the 10th session of the 15th legislature.

In his opening remarks, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the session will be conducted in three phases, covering 32 official agenda items and several reserve matters. The top legislator stressed that this is an important gathering to prepare for the 10th session, the last of the 15th parliament, while swiftly implementing new missions in accordance to laws, ensuring the completion of the legislature’s agenda. - Vietnam’s coffee industry is experiencing a breakthrough year, with exports setting new records in both volume and value.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, coffee exports in the first eight months of 2025 reached 1.2 million tonnes, worth 6.42 billion USD. This represents an 8.7% rise in volume and a remarkable 59.1% increase in value compared to the same period last year. With this momentum, export earnings can approach 8 billion USD in the 2024–2025 crop year, far surpassing the record 5.6 billion USD of 2024. Read full story

- A special screening of the film Mua do (Red Rain) was held on the evening of September 4 at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, a national special relic site in the central province of Quang Tri, to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, drawing thousands of local residents and visitors.

Nguyen Thi Hong, a resident of Quang Tri ward, said she and her family were eager to attend once they learned that Red Rain would be shown at the citadel. She further stated that this is a meaningful activity, not only to honour the martyrs who sacrificed for national independence, but also to inspire patriotism, pride, and the indomitable spirit of the nation right here in heroic Quang Tri. This year’s National Day holiday saw an unprecedented boom in domestic tourism. Hanoi welcomed about 2.08 million visitors, earning nearly 4.5 trillion VND (170.5 million USD) in revenue, surging by 80% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City also served nearly 1.45 million tourists, raking in an estimated 4.14 trillion VND, doubling that of the 2024 holiday. Read full story
