– A grand parade took place at the ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day at the historic Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi on September 2 morning, stirring deep emotions in the hearts of all Vietnamese people.
The parade comprised military and police formations marching in unison across the historic square, accompanied by large-scale displays of weapons, equipment, aircraft, and naval vessels at sea, set to resounding military music under autumn skies filled with fluttering red flags and yellow stars. – Party General Secretary To Lam met with Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith in Hanoi on September 2 as the latter came to Vietnam to attend the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945–2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945–2025).

General Secretary Lam welcomed the Lao Party and State leader for leading a high-ranking delegation to the celebration, describing it as a testament to the rare, loyal, and special solidarity between the two Parties and nations.
