- Party General Secretary To Lam has recently signed the Politburo’s Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, setting out groundbreaking measures to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of the people’s health.

The resolution highlights health as the nation’s most valuable asset and a cornerstone of prosperous and sustainable development, placing citizens at the centre of all policies. It represents a fundamental shift from a treatment-focused medicine to a preventive approach, underscoring completion of preventive medicine system, stronger grassroots facilities, and more comprehensive healthcare services. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 11 signed an official dispatch, urging ministries, agencies, and localities to step up the disbursement of public investment capital this year.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Government and the PM have issued numerous instructions on this matter. As of the end of August, disbursement was estimated at 46.3% of the plan assigned by the Government leader, higher than the same period in 2024 (40.4%). Of this, nine ministries and central-level agencies along with 22 localities reported disbursement rates above the national average, while 29 ministries, central agencies and 12 localities remained below that benchmark. - The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) will coordinate with relevant units to begin flight inspection and calibration at Long Thanh International Airport from September 26, CAAV Director Uong Viet Dung announced on September 12.

Accordingly, this work will last over 10 days, using Beechcraft B300 aircraft. These flights will primarily take place at night or in the early morning hours to utilise available airspace and minimise disruptions to commercial flight operations at Tan Son Nhat Airport. Party General Secretary To Lam stressed that the country’s new growth drivers stem from the organic linkages among the resolutions, explaining that international integration opens the door to the world, while stable and green energy is a prerequisite for production, schools, and hospitals. He added that high-quality education and training will supply engineers, doctors, and public service managers. A modern health system with strong preventive foundations will keep people healthy so they can study, work, and innovate.
