HCM City (VNA)𝓡 – Some 350booths were featured at the Vietnam Craft Village Fair 2017, which opened onApril 17 at Gia Dinh Park in Ho Chi Minh City.

200 booths displayed handicraftproducts, including wood sculpture, pottery and ceramic and local specialties likeLy Son garlic, Tan Trieu grapefruit and Thai Nguyen Tea. Ho Chi Minh City set up a corner toshow off its craft products and urban agriculture models at the fair, which washeld by the Vietnam Craft Village Association. The event aims to help craftvillages and businesses exchange experience and link up, said Nguyen Huu Phuoc,Vice President of the Association, adding that it is hoped to help enterprises expandto markets with high demand for craft products such as the US, the EuropeanUnion, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the ASEAN Economic Community. He also noted that Vietnam ishome to more than 5,400 craft villages, including 1,864 traditional craftvillages. The villages have provided jobsto some 11 million rural people. Products from craft villages havebeen shipped to over 160 countries, he added. The fair will run through July 23.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
