Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) 🔯– The 2016 International Circus Festival was wrapped up in Hue city, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on June 4.
The week-long festival granted prizes for 13 most outstanding performances while awards were also presented to the performance of audience choice, the best director and the best coach.
Vietnamese teams pocketed nine out of 13 medals, including three gold and six silver, while Laos grabbed two, one gold and one silver.
The festival is co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Department of Performing Arts and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The event, the fifth of its kind, featured 11 art troupes from Cambodia, China, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Ukraine and Vietnam. Their performances included magic shows, juggling, sport and swinging acts, roller skating, acrobatics and acts by clowns.-VNA
